Challenge yourself on a 5k race from the base to the summit of Mammoth Mountain at 11,053ft on cross country skis, snowshoes, or a fat bike. The Ezakimak event allows participants to climb up 2,000ft in elevation on the famed Kamikaze mountain bike trail - but in reverse. Spectators and family can join in to cheer on their athlete and have fun at the Sunset Summit Party with an evening gondola ride up to the top, music and kid-friendly activities.

The Polio Purple Pinkie Trail Run has raised roughly $30,000 over the past 7 years for the Rotary Foundation’s Polio Plus Fund. This money directly supports immunization campaigns in developing countries where polio continues to infect and paralyze children, robbing them of their futures and compounding the hardship faced by their families. Why Purple Pinkie? Every time a child is immunized, their pinkies are colored purple to show that they are safe from this crippling and deadly disease. The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey Relay Run Adventure (RTO) is a relay from Reno to Lake Tahoe and back to Reno making a large 178 mile loop around the Reno-Tahoe region. The relay starts at Wingfield Park along the Truckee River in downtown Reno, passes through Truckee, Tahoe City, South Lake Tahoe, Genoa, Carson City and Virginia City before returning to Reno and finishing at Idlewild Park. The course is divided into 36 legs or segments, with each leg averaging about 5 miles.

The Comstock Odyssey Relay is a relay from Virginia City, the home of the famous Comstock Lode mining boom of the 1860’s and 1870’s, to Reno. This event is on the last 6 legs of the RTO course.  It joins the RTO in progress.  It is just on RTO Saturday.

5th Annual Reno 10 Miler & Relay

Join us for the Reno 10 Miler & Relay, a 10 mile run for individuals or a 2 or 3 person relay for teams of runners. This race is the 2nd counting towards the 4-Race Medal (either individual or relay counts) and the 2017 Point Series (individual only counts). The race starts and finishes in downtown Reno, Nevada and passes through the University of Nevada campus and other scenic and historic neighborhoods. Elite runners battle for prize money. This event is what the title says, a 10 mile run. Just beyond a 10K (6.2 miles). But not quite as far as a half marathon (13.1 miles).

Join us for the Journal Jog, an 8K run and walk in Reno, Nevada that passes through Idlewild Park and along the Truckee River. It is family friendly. NEW this year! Every participant will receive a finisher's medal. This is a great first 8K for new runners. There is a division for pushing strollers. There also are various team categories including one for caterpillars. Costumes are encouraged. This is the 49th annual edition of this event. It is Reno's oldest footrace and an annual rite of passage for many.
